Let’s stay connected and support each other …

Many family and friends are doing things to stay connected with one another during these days of COVID-19 restrictions.  Friday night online-trivia is one example I saw recently and pre-dinner family catch up via Zoom is popular with some families.  There are many types of social media that make it easy to send a text message or snap a photo and share or turn on a computer and have a conversation.  You might like to share with us what you are doing to stay connected.  It may be as simple as a phone call to a neighbour.  Whatever it is we would love to hear from you.

Here are some ways that you might chose to stay in contact with us:

  • Our weekly newsletter is now interactive.  Most of our newsletter stories take you to the news section of our website, where you can comment or engage with stories that you have liked or would like to share something about.  You could leave a comment at the end of this piece!
  • Our Eastern Central Catholic Parishes Facebook group is up and running with almost 30 people joining on day one.  You might like to join in the discussions and exchanges that are happening on that site.
  • Each week you can find a number of liturgical offerings from our parish including our Online Mass, Spending Time with the Word and Children’s Liturgy of the Word resources.
  • You can follow us on Instagram or Facebook.
  • You can leave a message in the Contact Us section of our website.
  • You can simply ring the Parish Office and leave a message.  Someone will get back to you.

Keeping connected is so important at this time, so lets all make that extra effort to stay in touch and look out for each other.  And even when we are on our own we can pray over our guiding scripture passage each day: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
