Morning tea and a light lunch provided. Places are limited.

• The Ignatian Review or Examen is a reflection practice designed to fit into busy lives. It leads us to intentionally look back, gaining new perspective and noticing moments we may have missed, especially small blessings and signs of God’s presence.
• We begin with gratitude, helping shift negativity toward hope. Then we reflect on how we cooperated with God’s grace and where we fell short – not to dwell on mistakes, but to grow and choose better in the future.
• Over time, this practice develops discernment, helping us sense what is truly from God and shaping more intentional, faith-filled decisions. It also allows us to process the day, find reconciliation, and rest peacefully, making prayer an active and practical part of daily Christian living.

Anne Slingo’s background is in Ignatian spirituality, and she is a trained giver of the First Spiritual Exercises of St Ignatius of Loyola. Since finishing teaching, Anne has been working in formation with Catholic educators, onboarding those new to a Catholic setting, giving retreats and staff days, breaking open charism, introducing sacred listening and spiritual conversation, and guiding discernment and prayer.
