St Vincent de Paul Society – Information Session

Are you interested in joining the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP)?  Would you like to find out how you can make a meaningful difference in the lives of others?

The Deepdene / Balwyn Conference of the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVDP) warmly invites parishioners and friends to an Information Session on Wednesday, 8 October at 7.00 pm in the Gathering Space at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Deepdene.

The 15-20 minute session will:

• Introduce the core work of the Conference – visiting individuals in their homes who have reached out to the Society for help with living expenses. These visits are always conducted in pairs and offer not only material assistance but also friendship, support and a deep respect for each person’s dignity.
• Provide an opportunity to ask questions, and explore other volunteering opportunities, including the Soup Van, volunteering in a Vinnies store or assisting at the Call Centre.
