Laudato Si’

Care for our Common Home

10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark Laudato Si’

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’ landmark encyclical letter, Laudato Si’: On Care for Our Common Home, issued on 24 May 2015.  The letter praises God and highlights the beauty and wonder of creation, while calling on humanity to confront the ecological crises facing our planet.

Watch The Letter: A Message for our Earth. The Letter tells the story of a journey to Rome of frontline leaders to discuss the encyclical letter, Laudato Si’ with Pope Francis.

Create a Laudato Si' Action Plan

The Australian Catholic Bishops encourage all Australian Catholics to participate in the Laudato Si’ Action Platform, a shared space where the Church develops a proactive response to address the ecological crisis. They also call on individuals and communities to create and carry out their own Laudato Si’ Action Plans.
