Liturgical Ministries

Liturgical Ministries in our Parish
Parishioners are encouraged to participate in the liturgy by means of the responses, acclamations, songs, the postures of prayer and, at the proper times, by an attentive silence. There are some who undertake particular liturgical roles to assist the priest throughout the celebration of the Mass.

Roles include:
• Sacristans
• Altar Servers
• Readers/lectors
• Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion
• Ministers of Communion to the Sick
Parishioners seeking to be involved in any of these liturgical ministries are encouraged to contact Tricia Norman at the Parish Office on 9816 9291 or at [email protected].

Liturgy Group
The Liturgy Group for Our Lady of Pentecost Parish is each responsible for setting the overall vision of liturgy across the five worshipping communities, with particular emphasis on the liturgical year calendar and the coordination and preparation of liturgies for Lent, the Easter Triduum, Advent and Christmas. The group is keen to nurture the diversity of membership of our faith community and invite parishioners to be drawn more deeply into the liturgical life of the parish through opportunities to participate in various liturgical ministries.
