Pilgrimage of Hope
In 2025, the Catholic Church celebrated a Jubilee Year with the theme, ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Our parish hosted a series of pilgrimages at Our Lady of Victories Basilica.
We welcomed inspiring guest speakers who shared their faith, wisdom and personal stories, offering thoughtful reflections to support our pilgrim journey. These presentations are available to view.
Journey of Hope
Presenter: Anne Slingo
In May 2025, Anne shared the graces of the Camino – the pilgrimage of hope. Anne walked the Ignatian Camino in Spain and Italy in 2023, and found the experience life-changing.
Jubilee

In June 2025, Fr Brian explored in depth the concept of Jubilee using his extensive knowledge of Old Testament studies and it’s implication for the current context of the world.

Viaticum - Food and strength for the journey
Presenter: Fr Frank O’Loughlin
In October, Fr Frank presented on Viaticum – food and strength for the journey. As death approaches for a Christian, we celebrate Viaticum, a word meaning ‘what you need for the journey’ and pray the Commendation of the Dying, entrusting the person into God’s hands.
