Rite of Christian Initiation of Children (RCIC)
In the Parish of Our Lady of Pentecost, we warmly invite children who have not yet been baptised to join our parish-based Baptism Program.
After their Baptism, children are welcome to continue their faith journey through our Parish Sacramental Program, preparing for the Sacraments of Reconciliation, First Eucharist and Confirmation. Read more…
Preparation for each Sacrament is provided through the Parish Sacramental Program, which runs for five to six weeks prior to the celebration. If your child attends one of our Parish Primary Schools, their preparation will take place during schools hours with their classroom teacher.
Baptism of School-aged Children
Our Baptism program offers a gentle and joyful introduction to the Catholic faith, helping children come to know Jesus, feel at home in our parish community, and begin their faith journey.
Baptism Preparation Classes are held twice a year, in February and October, for all school-aged children up to Year 8. Sessions run on Tuesdays from 4.15 pm to 5.15 pm over three weeks in the Gathering Space at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Deepdene.
