A New Year of Hope and Community

A note of thanks from CatholicCare Victoria. 

As we step into a new year together, our hearts are full of gratitude for every person who makes up the CatholicCare Victoria (CCV) community.  Whether you connect with CatholicCare as a client, volunteer, staff, donor, parish, religious congregation or partner, your presence and generosity help bring care, dignity and hope to people across the state.  Thank you for the trust you place in CatholicCare and for the many ways you contribute to this shared mission.

The beginning of a new year naturally invites reflection.  It is a moment to pause, to breathe, and to look ahead with renewed purpose.  For many in Victoria, however, this season has also brought deep challenges.  The recent bushfires have left families and communities facing loss, upheaval and uncertainty.  We hold all those affected close in prayer, asking for comfort, strength and healing in the months ahead.

Moments like these remind us why the mission of CatholicCare matters.  At its heart, CatholicCare Victoria exists to walk alongside people with compassion and respect, especially those who are most vulnerable.  Across the state, CatholicCare’s offices remain open, offering face-to-face support as well as flexible and remote services where needed.  CatholicCare teams continue to meet people where they are, providing practical help, connection and encouragement during difficult times.

As we look toward the year ahead, CatholicCare is deeply grateful for your support that strengthens families, uplifts individuals and helps build communities where everyone can experience dignity, belonging and hope.

May the coming year be filled with renewal, compassion and gentle blessings for you and those you love.  CatholicCare wishes you every grace and peace in 2026.
