Are you interested in becoming a Catholic? Would you like to find out more about the Catholic faith and its practices? There are many reasons why people might answer yes to these questions.
Sometimes the answer is yes because I have married a Catholic and we are bringing up our children as Catholics. The desire to know more about the Catholic faith and to share it with my partner and children can be a strong desire.
The answer can be yes because I have found myself with Catholic friends whom I admire. It maybe that I am working for a Catholic organisation like a school or hospital or welfare agency. This experience has fueled my curiosity. For others it maybe that my faith has been laying latent for many years. I was baptised as a child but I have done nothing to pursue my faith over the years.
For others still, it may be a yearning or a longing in my life for something more. It may be the desire to explore my spirituality or respond to a sense of God in my life that I have not yet been able to fully find a place to express.
There are many reasons that people – young and old – are exploring the Catholic Church and its faith. Our parishes welcome those who are on this journey. We would love to hear from you if you have any interest in pursuing your inquiry. We are planning a number of sessions to welcome and plan a way forward for any interested person. Our first session will be in October.
