On Thursday, 29 April our Parishes will host the launch of Fr Frank O’Loughlin’s latest book, Gathering the People of God: Renew the Liturgy – Renew the Church.
The launch will take place in the Gathering Space at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 10 Whitehorse Road, Deepdene at 7:30 pm.
Fr Frank O’Loughlin has been teaching and writing on the area of liturgy, sacraments and parish life for many years. This latest book invites us to consider how the Eucharist and the Church now exist in, and are related to, the wider pluralist culture which characterises our cities and parishes. The book invites us to deeper reflection on priesthood, the words we use at Mass, the nature of signs, the emphasis on people rather than clergy, the purpose of liturgy to express our faith and our longing for it to bear fruit.
The launch will be followed by two evenings where the themes of the books will be explored further. These will take place on Thursday, 6 May and Thursday, 13 May at 7:30 pm in the Gathering Space at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Deepdene.
Copies of the book will be available at the April launch or can be ordered in advance from Coventry Press.

I’d be interested in attending the launch of Fr Frank O’Loughlins book. How do I register and is it something that will be open to people in other parishes in which case I’d be happy to publicise the event in my own parish.
Thanks for this great website!
Sally McIntosh says:
