New Principal Announced for OLGC Primary School

Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools Ltd (MACS) and Father Brendan are pleased to announce Ms Erin Macdonald as the new Principal at Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish Primary School.

Erin comes to us with a wealth of educational experience and leadership.  She is a passionate and innovative educator and has a great deal to offer our community.  Erin is currently the Principal of Sacred Heart Primary School in Sandringham.  And for those of you who might recognise her face, you are right!  She spent some years of her early career at Our Lady of Victories Primary School in Camberwell where she was also Principal.  Erin will take up her new role in Term 1 of 2022.  In the meantime, Mr Gilbert Keisler will continue to lead and support our school through to the end of 2021.  We are grateful to Gilbert for the incredible job he has done in leading our school throughout this transition year.

We are grateful also, to all of our teachers, students and parents for the way in which they have adapted to online learning in the second part of this year.  It has not been an easy year for families and it has been wonderful to see the way that our community has come together and supported one another.

I am sure that you will join us in welcoming Erin to Our Lady of Good Counsel.  We look forward to being able to meet her in person and we wish her every blessing as she completes her time at Sacred Heart Sandringham for the remainder of this year.
