Sacramental Life

With the easing of Covid-19 restrictions for places of worship, the Sacramental Life of our parish community has become alive as baptisms, weddings and funerals are taking place in our Churches.

Deacon Jude begins Baptisms

Our parish communities are beginning to welcome new members through the sacrament of Baptism.  During June we welcomed Benjamin Poci presented for Baptism by his parents Claire & Anthony; Lucia McGavin presented by her parents Sabina & Martin; and Max Pearce presented by his parents Sarah & James.  As Benjamin, Lucia and Max begin their journey with Christ, may the water of baptism be a rich sign of the life and love of God.

Deacon Jude Johnson baptised Benjamin on 21 June at Our Lady of Victories Basilica.  Deacon Jude, who has been practising his Diaconate Ministry at our parishes, will continue to work with parents who present their children for baptism. Jude has completed six years of priestly training at Corpus Christi Seminary and is preparing for his ordination to the priesthood later this year.  Please keep Jude in your prayers as he continues on his journey.
