School Voices

What a wonderful start to Term 3 by our staff, students and parents.  Last Friday we celebrated our beginning of Term 3 Mass with the parishioners at OLGC Church.  A huge thank you to Fr Hoang for celebrating the Mass with us.  Fr Hoang asked the children some probing questions during his homily and I was blown away by their responses.  It made me stop and reflect on the importance of ensuring that every day I put aside some time for fun.  Sometimes as adults we get too busy and forget to take time for fun.  A good lesson for all of us.

Sports Day

At the end of last term we held our whole school sports day at Genazzano.  We were fortunate with the weather and the children had a great day participating in a variety of events.  It was wonderful to have so many parents in attendance.

Concert

The children are excitedly preparing for our production of Junior Madagascar.  If you walk through the school at different times of the day you will hear children singing their songs or performing.  It’s a joy to hear.  The production will be held on the last Wednesday and Thursday evenings of this term.

Major Fundraiser

Our major fundraiser is quickly approaching.  The Parents Association are organising a wonderful Trivia Evening – silent auction, live auction, DJ, school tours and a photo booth.  To celebrate 100 years of our school, tickets are also available to alumni of OLGC.  The date of the trivia night is Saturday, 17 August.  To book tickets, or to purchase a raffle ticket…

First Communion

Our Year 4 students will be celebrating their First Communion over the coming weekends.  They are excited but also nervous.
