Supporting Mothers and Babies

For we cannot keep from speaking what we have seen and heard. Acts 4:20

Catholic Mission is the Australian agency of the International Pontifical Mission Societies.  As the Pope’s international mission agency, Catholic Mission responds to the call to love God and to love our neighbour by forming individuals and communities who share their faith in action and through prayer.

Thanks to the generosity of parishioners, last year Catholic Mission were able to support vital programs that were impacted by COVID-19, allowing them to adapt and continue their work by supporting those in need.

This year, Catholic Mission invites you to reach out and help vulnerable mothers and their children by supporting the work of the Good Shepherd Sisters in Thailand.

The Mother and Babies Home at the Good Shepherd Sisters Centre in the heart of Bangkok offers mothers the opportunity to prepare for their new babies in a safe environment. The women that come through the Home are welcomed with love and support not only from the Sisters, but from the community of mothers also living at the home. The Home gives these mothers a sense of belonging, practical support through parental skills training, pre- and post-natal medical care, and provides them with nutritious food and supplies.

Please give generously today to support the life-changing work at the Mother and Babies Home, and many other programs reaching out to those in need around the world. You can choose to give a tax-deductible gift, which helps purchase nutritious meals, essential supplies and contributes toward the costs of medical care for mothers and babies at the Home, as well as similar mission projects around the world. Should you not require a tax-receipt, your gift can support all these programs, as well as programs supporting seminarians, novices and catechists.

Your generous gift today means that the Good Shepherd Sisters in Thailand can continue to reach out to more vulnerable mothers and their babies in their time of greatest need.

Visit Catholic Mission to learn more about their works and to donate.
